Man shot on Near West Side

A man was shot early Thursday on the Near West Side.

The 25-year-old was walking on the sidewalk at 12:07 a.m. in the 2200 block of West Adams when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left hand and showed up at Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
