A woman was shot in the leg while sitting inside a car early Saturday in Uptown.

At least one person opened fire on the 29-year-old about 4:45 a.m. from the street in the 1200 block of West Lawrence, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
