A 33-year-old man was shot Thursday night in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

He was in his vehicle about 10:18 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Leamington when someone in a black vehicle opened fire, striking him in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

The man drove himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
