A 28-year-old man was shot Saturday night in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

He was standing on the sidewalk about 9:30 p.m. in the 5700 block of West Adams when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the right foot and was taken to Rush Oak Park Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.
