Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or major decisions from noon until 4:20 p.m. Chicago time. After that, the Moon moves from Leo into Virgo.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a good day to make plans for parties and vacations because you’re in a practical frame of mind about creative matters and you’re willing to act on your ideas. Yes! However, be aware of the limitations of the Moon Alert before you sign on the dotted line.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Entertaining at home and dealing with family members, especially about practical matters, is a good idea. Get together and discuss how to share common resources and shared property. Later, good food, good drink and good talk will make a fun party!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You are in a sensible frame of mind today and will want to make plans. This is a good idea; however, keep the Moon Alert in mind before you make a decision. Later in the day, you will enjoy hanging out at home, especially with good nibblies. Yummers!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Be careful today because you are tempted to make financial decisions or perhaps buy something. If so, check with the Moon Alert above. Later in the day, you will be mentally alert, physically active and convincing!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Today begins with the Moon in your sign dancing nicely with Saturn, which makes you dutiful, nose to the grindstone and willing to work. But during the Moon Alert, things will get blurry and crazy. Be careful about spending money. Enjoy your day!

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This day gets stronger as it wears on because in the afternoon the Moon moves into Virgo. Once this happens, you will swing into gear — no problem. Until then, things will be loosey-goosey. Don’t worry. Just go with the flow and avoid major decisions and purchases.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Someone older or more experienced might offer you advice this morning. Take things with a grain of salt because during the Moon alert, it’s not good to agree to anything important or make a big decision. Later in the day, you will want to chill out.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Discussions with bosses, parents and VIPs might be important this morning. By midday, or earlier, the wheels will fall off and things will get loosey-goosey. Later, your interaction with friends and groups will become lively! A conversation with a female will count.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You are interested in travel and higher education this morning. But soon, discussions with bosses and VIPs will take place and pull you in a new direction. Just be aware of the limitations of the Moon Alert for making decisions. Be smart.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Do be aware of the Moon Alert today so you can avoid important business. You don’t want to make decisions about shared property then. These are decisions that have to be made when things are solid and you can count on the outcome.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You have to compromise with others today. Accept this fact. However, check out the times of the Moon Alert (see above) so that you will know when to avoid big decisions and purchases. Once it is passed, you are all systems go. Yay! I’m free!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Today begins with your desire to be efficient and effective, despite the fact that the Moon Alert will get in your way and sabotage every effort. Nevertheless by the time the Moon moves into Virgo, you will be on sure footing. In fact, conversations with partners and close friends will be important then.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Jon Hamm (1971) shares your birthday today. You make a strong impression on others because you are bold and forthright. You are very idealistic about your relationships. You are a natural leader. This is the year you’ve been waiting for! Take advantage of opportunities that present themselves. Expect a major change, perhaps as significant as what occurred around 2006. It’s time to test your future!
