A man was wounded Thursday afternoon in a Lawndale neighborhood shooting on the West Side.

It happened around 3:25 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt, Chicago Police said. The 20-year-old heard gunfire and ran, but felt pain as he tried to get away.

Officers found him in the 3800 block of West Grenshaw with a gunshot wound to his back and called an ambulance, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
