A 41-year-old Uber driver was shot in the leg Tuesday evening in the South Side Armour Square neighborhood, authorities said.

She was driving a male passenger at 5:52 p.m. in the 300 block of West Cermak when a dark-colored vehicle pulled alongside her and someone fired multiple shots before driving off, according to Chicago Police.

The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, police said. The passenger was unharmed.

“We’ve spoken to the driver and we are grateful and relieved that she is OK after such a frightening experience,” an Uber spokesperson said in a statement.

No arrests have been made, police said.
