A 24-year-old man was shot Saturday evening in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened at 6:12 p.m. in the 2000 block of West 68th Place, according to Chicago Police. The man was sitting in a vehicle when a white SUV drove by and someone inside fired shots.

The 24-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to his hand, elbow and abdomen, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.
