A child was among four people injured in a head-on crash Sunday morning on Lake Shore Drive on the South Side.

A car going south in the northbound lanes hit another car around 7 a.m. in the 4800 block of South Lake Shore Drive, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The child, thought to be about 10, was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, the fire department said. Two others were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and one person was taken to Stroger Hospital. All were described as being in serious to critical condition.
