A man found dead Tuesday morning in an alley in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side died of acute ethanol toxicity.

The man, 38, was found unresponsive at 7:27 a.m. in an alley in the 2600 block of South Ridgeway and pronounced dead, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Wednesday found he died of acute ethanol toxicity and his death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner’s office.
