A 20-year-old man was shot in the leg Tuesday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

The victim was shot when someone walked up to him just after 3 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Dorchester and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He drove himself to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
