An 11-year-old boy who went missing last weekend from the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood safely returned home Tuesday night.

David Mitchell was last seen about 10 a.m. Saturday near the 2100 block of West Birchwood Street, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police. He is known to frequent the areas of Howard and Paulina.

The boy safely returned home about 8 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Additional details were not provided.
