Three people were wounded in a shooting Thursday afternoon in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

All three were riding in a vehicle at 3:37 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Sangamon when someone fired at them, according to Chicago Police.

After the shooting, they drove to 83rd and Morgan streets, where paramedics were called, police said.

A 38-year-old man was shot in his chest, arm and back and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said. Two other men — ages 22 and 28 — suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. They were also taken to Christ Medical Center, where their conditions had stabilized.
