A teenage boy was wounded in a North Lawndale neighborhood shooting early Sunday on the West Side.

About 1:10 a.m., the 17-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of South Lawndale when a white SUV pulled up, someone got out and fired shots, according to Chicago Police. The shooter was described as a black male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The teenager was shot in the right leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
