A 30-year-old man died Thursday after he was shot in west suburban Bellwood.

Frank Pate suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 1100 block of Linden Avenue in Bellwood, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Pate, a Bellwood resident, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:44 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

Bellwood police did not return messages seeking comment about the shooting.
