A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Monday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 26-year-old victim was standing on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of North St. Louis at 10:50 a.m. when a green vehicle drove past and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot twice in the lower back, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member and the shooting might be gang-related.
