A 25-year-old man was shot early Sunday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

He was shot in the left leg just before 3 a.m. when he was standing on the sidewalk in the 4500 block of West Maypole and heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Loretto Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
