A 45-year-old man was shot in the leg Tuesday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.

Just after 7 p.m., the man was inside a home in the 6700 block of South Chappel when another male entered, fired shots and ran out, according to Chicago Police.

The 45-year-old was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.
