Someone tried to rob a 25-year-old man and then shot him in the foot when he ran away early Friday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

It happened about 12:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of West Jackson, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition. No one was in custody.
