A man was shot Monday morning in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 44-year-old victim was shot in the buttocks in the 2800 block of South Springfield at 6:36 a.m., according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He took himself to Saint Anthony Hospital, police said. Additional details, including his condition, weren’t immediately available.
