SHARE Man, 34, shot in Back of the Yards

A man was shot Saturday night in a possible robbery attempt in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

About 4:30 p.m., the 34-year-old was in the 800 block of West 54th Place whenhe was approached by four people,according to Chicago Police. One of them drew a weapon and fired shots, striking him in his left hand.

He took himself to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.
