Man, 19, shot in Fernwood

A man was shot Wednesday night in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 19-year-old was walking on the sidewalk about 9:15 p.m. in the 10500 block of South Wentworth when he heard shots and felt pain, Chicago Police said.

He took himself to Roseland Community Hospital with a graze wound to his right thigh, police said. His condition had stabilized.
