A bicyclist was shot early Thursday on the Southwest Side.

About 2:35 a.m., the 35-year-old man was riding a bicycle north in the 4100 block of South Western when another male fired shots from the sidewalk, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
