A 13-year-old girl who went missing last week from the Lithuanian Plaza neighborhood on the Southwest Side has been found safe.

Samantha Vega, who sometimes goes by Sammy, had last been seen entering a silver Jeep SUV about 4 p.m. Thursday near 70th and Western, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

Police said Monday morning that she had been found and reunited with her family.
