A man has been charged with stabbing his girlfriend Friday morning in northwest suburban Carpentersville.

Peter Biancalana, 25, faces one count of aggravated domestic battery, according to Carpentersville police.

The 28-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times shortly before 7 a.m. during a domestic-related incident with her boyfriend in a house in the 100 block of Pecos Circle, police said. She was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

Biancalana, who left the home after the stabbing, was taken into custody about 1:35 a.m. Saturday, police said.

He has been ordered held at the Kane County Adult Justice Center on a $100,000 bond, police said. Biancalana is due back in court on July 12.
