A man was shot early Wednesday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 21-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 12:16 a.m. in the 3900 block of West 13th when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He walked into Rush University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the left knee, police said. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
