A man was shot Friday night in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

The 25-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 8:15 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Calumet when someone walked up and fired shots, striking him in the right calf, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Jackson Park hospital in good condition, police said.
