Woman shot in South Shore

A woman was shot early Sunday in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 29-year-old was standing on the sidewalk at 3:52 a.m. in the 7700 block of South Yates when a male fired shots, striking her in the right hand, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Jackson Park Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
