The Wells Street bridge will close early Friday in the Loop for testing and maintenance.

The bridge is scheduled to close from midnight to 5 a.m. while crews complete work, the Chicago Department of Transportation said in an alert.

Traffic going south on Wells, a one-way street, can use Kinzie Street to go to the LaSalle Bridge, CDOT said.
