A man was shot Monday morning in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood on the South Side.

The 37-year-old was shot about 9:26 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Hoyne, according to Chicago Police.

He was struck in the arm and abdomen, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in an unknown condition, police said.
