Notre Dame and Wisconsin announced Monday that they have agreed to play two-year series in 2020 and 2021.
The Irish and Badgers will play at Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 3, 2020. The next year, they will play at Soldier Field, the home of the Bears, on Sept. 25, 2021. This will be the first meetings between the two schools since 1964.
This marks the first time Notre Dame will play in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Lambeau Field, named for the legendary Packers founder who was also a former Notre Dame football player.
Notre Dame has played 12 games at Soldier Field, most recently in 2012 when the Irish routed Miami, 41-3. The Irish own an all-time record of 10-0-2 at Soldier Field. Wisconsin has played three games at Soldier Field. In addition to a 1929 meeting with the Irish, the Badgers defeated Great Lakes in 1942 and Northern Illinois in 2011.
