Two men have been charged with shooting a man during an argument Sunday morning in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Patrick Johnson, 22, of Skokie; and Miguel Santiago, 20, of Portage Park, each face one felony count of aggravated battery, according to Chicago Police.

Johnson and Santiago shot the 21-year-old after an argument escalated about 8 a.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of North Central, police said.

The victim suffered a graze wound to the right buttock, but refused medical attention, police said.

Johnson was ordered held without bond during a hearing Tuesday in Skokie, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. His next court date was scheduled for Aug. 21.

Court information was not immediately available for Santiago.
