A 19-year-old man was found shot to death Wednesday morning in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired at 8:32 a.m. in the 2400 block of South Sacramento and found Victor Davila Jr. in an alley with a gunshot wound, Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police initially thought Davila was shot in the chest, but an autopsy Thursday found he died of a gunshot wound to the back, the medical examiner’s office said.

Davila lived in the Little Village neighborhood less than a mile from where he was shot.
