A person found dead Friday morning in the garage of a west suburban home has been identified as a 19-year-old Aurora man.

Police responded to a call of a dead body found in the detached garage in the 800 block of Second Avenue, according to Aurora city spokesman Dan Ferelli.

A cleaning crew found the body as they were clearing out the gargage for the buyer of the home, which was for sale, police said.

Due to the condition of the body, the identity of the deceased couldn’t immediately be determined, according to the Kane County coroner’s office.

But on Tuesday, the coroner’s office announced that dental records were used to identify the victim as Brandon E. Page.

The coroner’s office said a ruling on cause of death is awaiting the results of toxicology tests and a medicolegal death investigation.

There is no apparent danger to the public, Ferelli said.
