A man was wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 25-year-old was walking with a friend at 12:23 p.m. in the 700 block of North Leclaire when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, police said. His condition was stabilized.
