A man was wounded in a shooting early Tuesday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 24-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle about 2:20 a.m. in the 2100 block of South Western when someone in a silver car fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the back and left hip and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Chicago Fire Department crews responded to the fire around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of West 16th Street. No injuries were reported. The fire was put out about 9:30 p.m.
