Motorcyclist killed in St. Charles crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car Saturday afternoon in west suburban St. Charles.

A Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling east at 12:48 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Main when it was struck by a 1999 Dodge Avenger headed west and making a left turn onto South 19th Street, according to St. Charles police.

Both drivers were taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, police said.

The motorcyclist, 64-year-old Richard Klein of West Chicago, died at the hospital, police said.

The driver of the Dodge, a 17-year-old, was cited for failure to yield while turning left, police said.
