A U.S. Bank branch was robbed Tuesday afternoon in southwest suburban Burbank.

The non-takeover robbery happened about 2:15 p.m. at the U.S. Bank branch at 5440 West 87th St., according to the FBI.

The suspect, who officials said should be considered armed and dangerous, was a described as a black man in his 20s, standing 5-foot-8 with a thin build, the FBI said. He was wearing a dark jacket and dark knit hat.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call the FBI’s Chicago field office at (312) 421-6700.
