A person was taken into custody after police stopped and evacuated passengers from a Greyhound bus Friday off Interstate 94 near north suburban Wadsworth.

A passenger on the bus called police shortly before 10 p.m. and told authorities there was a disorderly and possibly armed passenger aboard, according to Illinois State Police and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office

Officers found the bus going south on I-94, but it didn’t immediately stop, the sheriff’s office said. A pursuit crossed into Illinois, bus stopped on the I-94 ramp at Route 173, state police said. The disruptive passenger was taken into custody.

Approximately 40 passengers aboard the bus were evacuated, police said. No injuries were reported.
