A 24-year-old man was charged with aggravated fleeing after allegedly crashing during a West Side police chase on Sunday.

At 12:21 a.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 100 block of North Kilbourn and started chasing a vehicle, according to Chicago Police. The vehicle ultimately crashed into a light pole in the 3000 block of West Grand.

Perry Moore was arrested and taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. He was charged with one felony count of aggravated fleeing and various misdemeanor driving citations.

His bail was set at $25,000 and he remained hospitalized in custody on Monday, according to Cook County Sheriff’s Office records. His next court date was scheduled for Jan. 18.
