A west suburban man has been charged with possession of child pornography almost nine months after authorities searched his Glendale Heights home.

Elmhurst police started the investigation into 27-year-old Andrew P. Clarke before turning it over to Glendale Heights police, who searched his home in the 100 block of Golfview Drive on Tuesday., according to Glendale Heights police.

Investigators seized “computer equipment” and found one file containing child pornography, police said.

The Illinois Attorney General’s Crimes Against Children Task Force performed further computer forensics before an arrest warrant was issued on Monday, police said.

Clarke was released Tuesday after posting 10 percent of a $200,000 bond, police said. He is due back in court Feb. 8.
