A man was stabbed in the face and neck Sunday morning in the University Village neighborhood on the South Side.

The 20-year-old man was stabbed about 6 a.m. in the 6800 block of Ashland Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

He was not cooperating with investigators, police said.
