Schurz’s Jaland Mitchell (23) gets a wide-open dunk in the second half against Lane on Wednesday 01-24-18. Worsom Robinson/For the Sun-Times.

The Public League conference season is wrapping up. Lane knocked off Schurz tonight to win the White-North. Read all about that here.

Still no word if there will be promotion/relegation (up/down) in the new super-conference world. Stay tuned for news on that.

Tonight’s top games

Lake Forest 58, Waukegan 48: Nice win for the Scouts, who are having a down season. The Bulldogs continue to confound.

Uplift 88, North Lawndale 82: Massive win for the Titans. Everyone knows there is plenty of talent at Uplift, it would be exciting if they started to put things together. Markese Jacobs scored 28 and Toraze Dobbs had 25. North Lawndale continues to lose close games to good teams. Demetrius Douglas scored 30 and Rashaun Hill had 15.

Prosser 90, Lincoln Park 85 OT: This was my second choice game tonight. Looks like it was a very good one. I’ve been hearing good things about what Moon Robinson has going on over at Prosser. This is the first real headline-grabbing win. The Falcons are 10-6. Freshman Norvell Meadows scored 27, Devion Collins scored 21 and Tyree Fincher added 18 points.

Orr 61, Marshall 50: Another interesting score from the Red-North/West. Raekwon Drake posted a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks. Brian Hernandez scored 15 and Dannie Smith added 11 points and six assists. Smith also picked up a Kent State offer tonight.

Foreman 60, Taft 45: Four players were in double digits for the Hornets, who finished 7-2 in the White-North.

Hinsdale Central 47, Notre Dame 44: The Red Devils are always dangerous. Justin Bradshaw led the way with 14 points. Dons big man Dusan Mahorcic had 17 points and eight rebounds.

Crane 56, Douglass 43: The Cougars finish the season undefeated in the White-West Terrell Ousley had 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Legal Prep 75, Austin 68: Legal Prep wins the Blue-West.

Northridge 80, Francis Parker 46: Sean Holohan scored 16 and Dan Stenk and Jon Evans each had 12. The Knights are 14-5 overall and still unbeaten in the ISL.

Payton 79, Alcott 54: I’ve been hearing a lot about Payton sophomore Jabari Chiphe. He scored 30 tonight in a big win for the Grizzlies. This gets them into the CPS Playoffs.

Stevenson 45, Warren 34: The northern suburbs are hard to figure out. Seems like anyone can win on any night. Jackson Qualley had 17 for the Patriots.
