A man was shot to death Wednesday afternoon during a robbery in the Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 2:45 p.m., 46-year-old Horacio Galvan-Hernandez was working at a business in the 5000 block of West Fullerton when someone came in and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

During the robbery, he was shot in the head, police said.

Galvan-Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:03 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the West Town neighborhood.

Area North detectives were investigating.
