A man died after he were involved in a single-vehicle crash last week on Interstate 55 in Bolingbrook.

About 10:45 a.m. Jan. 24, Wayne A. LaBotz, a 64-year-old Bolingbrook resident, was driving a 2016 BMW SUV north in the middle lane of I-55 near milepost 265 when they veered off the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled over in the right ditch, Illinois State Police and the Will County Coroner’s Office said.

LaBotz was taken to AMITA Medical Center in Bolingbrook, where he died at 11 a.m., the coroner’s office said.

An autopsy performed the day after did not rule on the cause and manner of his death pending further reports, the coroner’s office said.

Illinois State Police are investigating the crash.
