A 24-year-old woman was shot in the back late Tuesday on the Near West Side.

At 11:46 p.m., the woman was in a bedroom of a home in the 2100 block of West Washington when she heard a gunshot and felt pain, according to Chicago Police. She was shot in the back.

She was taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating the shooting.
