The drama around Leo’s basketball coaching situation is may come to an end on Wednesday.

Leo coach Shawn Frison, who claims assistant coach Fred Cleveland Sr. has orchestrated a coup to take his job, said this morning that the players were told yesterday that he was fired.

“They brought all the basketball kids in the room and basically told them I was terminated,” Frison said. “There is a parent meeting tonight and we are supposed to discuss what is going on.”

Frison said he didn’t know if he was invited to the meeting but that he intends to go.

“I feel like I was set up,” Frison said. “If they don’t want me there it is fine, but don’t defame my character. I love this school.”

Leo president Dan McGrath says there will be a resolution later today. The No. 12 ranked Lions play at Loyola on Friday.
