A man was fatally wounded in a shooting Friday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Antoine R. Green, 45, was walking down the street about 9:45 a.m. in the 900 block of North Monticello Avenue when he was shot in the back, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in East Garfield Park.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:52 p.m., authorities said. A Saturday autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

Area North detectives were investigating.

About five hours later, a 15-year-old boy was wounded in a another shooting about a block away.
