Phillips receiver Fabian McCray decommitted from Illinois on Sunday afternoon.

McCray doesn’t have a list of schools he’s currently considering, but says Illinois will “remain in my top schools.”

McCray, a senior, committed to Illinois in June. His teammate, defensive back Joseph Thompson, committed to the Fighting Illini in the spring.

McCray helped lead the Wildcats to a win against Prairie Ridge in the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs on Saturday. Phillips plays at Cary-Grove in the quarterfinals next weekend and could play in Champaign if it advances all the way to the state championship game.
