A woman was found dead Tuesday morning behind an abandoned property in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Linette Jackson, 42, was found dead at 9:11 a.m. in the rear of a building in the 11800 block of South LaSalle Street, according to Chicago police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. She lived in the neighborhood.

Following an autopsy Wednesday, the medical examiner’s office said further investigation was needed to make a ruling on the cause and manner of Jackson’s death. Area South detectives were investigating.
